Our Women's Health Matters series about taking control of our health continues in September!.
Join us for a powerful and insightful session as part of our Women’s Health Matters series, focusing on a critical and often overlooked topic: suicide awareness and prevention.
This event aims to break the silence, reduce stigma, and foster open conversations around mental health challenges that impact women and communities at large. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the signs of suicidal ideation, risk factors, and the importance of timely intervention and support.
We are honored to welcome two passionate advocates and mental health professionals:
🗣 Andrea Scott – A respected mental health educator and suicide prevention advocate, Andrea brings personal insight and professional expertise to guide us in understanding the impact of suicide and ways to support those at risk.
🗣 Abeela Haq – A community leader and mental health advocate, Abeela focuses on culturally sensitive approaches to suicide prevention and creating safe spaces for healing within communities.
This event is for anyone who wants to learn more, help others, or is seeking support themselves. Together, we can create a community of care, compassion, and action.
This conversation will take place on Zoom and be broadcast live on Facebook. Register using the link below to join us in the Zoom room. If you have any questions you would like addressed anonymously, please send them to info@mwo-orlando.org.
