This month’s Journey’s Convert Connection session will answer any questions about women’s rights in marriage. For women new to practicing Islam, knowledge about their rights in marriage may be little to none. In this session, we delve into the various doubts that may arise when considering marriage in Islam, the steps to getting married, the difference between a civil marriage and nikah contract, and more.. We hope that this session will empower reverts so they are not taken advantage of in their search for a partner and in their marriage.

Journeys with Amany: Convert Connection is a spiritual gathering space and one of our Sisterhood Initiatives. Inshallah, it is our goal to provide a space for Muslim women who have accepted Islam (at any place in their spiritual and religious journey) to connect with one another, feel seen, heard, and not judged while they discuss topics that are important to them as they navigate their journeys into the faith community.
