Studying the Quran is no easy task for converts or those who are born in the faith. Sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming. In this series, the goal is to discuss what the Quran is, the importance of the Quran in our faith and what is the best way to study the Quran.
Journeys with Amany: Convert Connection is a spiritual gathering space and one of our Sisterhood Initiatives. Inshallah, it is our goal to provide a space for Muslim women who have accepted Islam (at any place in their spiritual and religious journey) to connect with one another, feel seen, heard, and not judged while they discuss topics that are important to them as they navigate their journeys into the faith community.
The goal of this session is to understand who is Allah, what does Allah mean to us and what are the terms we use to praise Allah? Why are there no pictures of Allah? Why do we say Subhana Wata'ala after mentioning Allah? What are the terms that we use to praise to Allah.
While we always have a Zoom option, sometimes our Journeys gatherings take place in person at our MWO HUB. To be added to our Journeys WhatsApp group, please email our Journeys Coordinator, Nilmarie Lotti at converts@mwo-orlando.org.
