Join the Muslim Women's Organization at our 3rd Annual GEMS Gala: Together We Rise, a fundraising dinner and awards ceremony celebrating the dynamic duos of our community who work together everyday to uplift one another and everyone around them, like our special guests, power couple, Priya Chandra and Imam Khalid Latif.

at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center (located at the Florida Mall between Macy's and Sears).

Priya Chandra has a Masters in Social Work and is a rape crisis and domestic violence counselor with experience working with human trafficking victims.  Her husband, Imam Khalid Latif, is the University Chaplain at NYU, the Executive Director of the Islamic Center at NYU, and a Chaplain for the NYPD.  Together they empower the women of the community and everyone around them.
