"When you do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved, you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better."
- Maya Angelou
Who We Are
The MWO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity organization consisting of women from throughout the Central Florida Muslim community working together to promote empowerment through community service, outreach, and personal development. We accomplish this by supporting existing community initiatives and providing opportunities for women and their families to get involved and make a difference.
A world where every Muslim woman has the opportunity to lead in the service of humanity.
To give Muslim women the opportunity to enrich their lives through community service, outreach and personal development. By empowering women today, we invest in a better tomorrow, for all.
The support we receive from our community members is what makes MWO so successful throughout the year. We would be unable to carry out the projects we do and grow every year without our volunteers and our generous sponsors. You, too, can get involved.
We strive to get women involved in community service and the projects and initiatives of many other community organizations. Local partnerships have included the Muslim Ladies Association, Nadoona, UMF, ICNA Relief USA, AMCC, Islamic Center of Orlando, AACC, Islamic Relief USA, Project Downtown and many others.
